What Are CPD Credits ?
CPD stands for Continuing Professional Development. It’s a term used to describe the learning activities professionals engage in to develop and enhance their abilities. Before participants can earn CPD credits, the training or educational activity must first be approved by the designated CPD accrediting authority
CPD credits are a measure of how much CPD activity you’ve completed. They’re awarded for various learning activities, such as attending conferences, webinars, workshops, or completing online courses.
How CPD Hours are Calculated
Although it might differ from country to country according to national regulation, but in general,for Live sessions, CPD hours are typically calculated based on the duration of active learning. This means that the time spent actively engaged in learning activities, such as attending conferences, webinars, workshops, or completing online courses, is counted towards your CPD hours.
Here’s a simple example:
- Attending a 2-day Training:
- If the training runs from 9 AM to 5 PM each day, with a 1-hour lunch break, the total active learning hours would be 7 hours per day.
- Over 2 days, this would equal 14 CPD hours.
